On a standard Winter day in Tom's River, New Jersey, Gwen Pharalia walked outside of her house to find that her best friend, America was not waiting for her in front the gate to her house like her friend usually was.
This story is a story about compassion, love, endurance, and fear for loyalty. The message of this book is going to be proven powerful, thanks to the inspiration of the Music Artist Alicia Keys.

The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world. They don't realize what it's like not to be able to look at the stars and see the beauty in the sky. I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself.
