Jin, a 14 year old, lives inside of an insane asylum. She's lived in boredom in this, and I quote, "shithole of a place," desperately trying to find something that would satisfy her urge of wanted excitement. She would often look towards others outside of her window, finding out people's secrets, where they've been and why, the usual beef. Despite doing that, she hasn't been completely satisfied. Afterall, she didn't actually have any contact with those people she seeks toward, what would she even use the beef for?
So, what if it was granted to her, excitement?
One seemingly normal day, a mysterious man visited her room, confusing her by giving her answers to things she didn't understand. Her entire understanding of the place went down the drain, as she is thrown all these secrets about herself.
Jin isn't able to handle all of it. She thought she'd known herself the entire time, but she hadn't. She's focused so much of her time on others, that she's completely forgotten about the most important person in her life. Herself.
Y/N was never meant to be free.
Living in New York, she dreams of love-the kind that feels chosen, not forced. But God has other plans. Bound to an arranged marriage she despises, her life is already a prison long before she realizes it. When work drags her to South Korea, she mistakes distance for escape.
She's wrong.
One night, she meets a man who feels like death standing still. His presence is suffocating. His eyes are cold, predatory-empty of mercy. A man whispered about in fear. A monster hiding behind human skin. That brief encounter is enough to seal her fate.
Because he doesn't forget her.
He watches. He waits. He becomes obsessed.
When she's kidnapped, she learns the truth: the man who took her is the most dangerous mafia lord alive-ruthless, violent, incapable of love. He has destroyed lives without hesitation. Yet when she looks at him... something inside him fractures. Her eyes make him feel weak. Warm. Human. And he hates it.
So he cages her.
Her freedom is stripped away. Her choices erased. She is forced to live under his rules-obedience or punishment. Love is replaced with possession. Protection becomes control. And escape is met with consequences far worse than death.
She is his obsession.
His weakness.
His most dangerous mistake.
Will she survive long enough to break free?
Or will the monster reshape her into something just as dark as him?
