Charlotte has lost her boyfriend, Josh, to a horrid car crash. She feels like she will never be able to heal or love, ever again. Josh was her life and dream, now all of those memories are gone forever. But the one memory she will always keep is, it rained on the day Josh died.
So Charlotte and her mother decide to move, to get away from the past. They move to Arizona, since it's the dryest place they know.
On Charlotte's first day of school, she meets Finn. Finn is your average guy. But once he lays his eyes on Charlotte, he instantly falls for her.
Charlotte starts to have some feelings for him as well, but she can't help but feel guilty and miserable.
So will it have to rain before Charlotte's heart mends?
