Surviving the fall of an entire country isn't easy. Surviving in a forest with dwindling food supplies while evading the rebel- hunting New Haven Federation is even harder. Kalista, once a child soldier for the N.H.F has rebelled against her commanders and escaped with her life. Now she is determined to find a life outside of Etrien, and find a way to stop the N.H.F from their endless experiments on human subjects, torture and child soldiers. 

With the help of new friends and old- and even a few enemies-turned-allies- Kalista will stop at nothing to topple an unfair dictatorship. But, doing so will be putting her friend's fate in her hands, which could set them free or throw them in a life of torture, being experimented on, even death.
