Cassie Georgia. A beautiful name for someone who isn't. She knows she is not anyway. Life has given her struggles from an early age, some of which were really difficult to escape from and others are just unavoidable.
She's fourteen. A young age, just beginning to see what the world has to offer her. What it has to bless her and what she has to face. Cassie is anything but ready for it. Certain people broke everything in her will to live on. Haunting her memories every single time she would close her eyes and sleep. Destroying her emotions and her body.
Cassie is tired. Very tired that one day, she would not be able to get up anymore. She would not be able to stand up.
In the midst of all the troubles with her right now, she saw hope for the first time. Will she ever hold onto that little piece? Who was this mysterious person helping her? Will she ever be saved?

It's like she knows that she has a real family out there, no matter how many times people try to tell her that they either didn't want her, before explaining all the reasons why no one would want her, or that they all died, and she will never know them. For years, Georgia has tried to decipher the difference between words thrown at her in rage and due to alcohol, but as the years go by, it is harder to see the difference. It's harder not to believe the words. The words of her family not wanting her and that they may be dead, probably as a result of her sake. All she wants, is a pair of safe arms that will take the stress of her shoulders, for a little while. Only, she doesn't know how great of a deal she is asking of those that are her family. She will never understand the depth of the work that her real family has been intertwined, and maybe not living with them, has kept her alive.
