Ren had always been strange. She didn't mind it. She had grown up, along with her cousin Jake, hearing tales of children who could do incredible things. Special children. She believed in their grandfather's stories with all her heart, for a long time at least. Then, like all children, Ren grew too old to believe in her grandfather Abe's stories.
