Blackened Skin (Incomplete Novel)

When a deadly plague breaks out, a 9 year old girl named Emily is watching the world die out in front of her. In a desperate effort to keep her from getting infected, her step dad takes her to the CDC shortly after the death of her mother, and leaves her there. Without any clear description of the major effects on the brain, Emily is forced to live with no family, or friends, and no reminisce of the outside world. Not knowing most of the world, she must find herself in total isolation.
