My mother always told me, "Stay in the room. Whatever happens, always stay in the room. You'll be safe here." I believed her and I listened. I stayed in the room. "It's not safe out there for you. Stay in the room." My father said. I believed him and I listened. I never left the room. For years I remained in that room, not even glancing twice at the door. Even if I wanted to leave, I couldn't. The door was locked, the windows were locked. All I had were some simple furniture items. My eighteenth birthday was only in a few days away. Mother and Father would come into the room and give me a cake freshly baked by my Mother just like every year. They'd sing "Happy Birthday" and I'd make a wish. • Claire Williams is a 17-year-old girl living out West in the 1940s. Her parents have kept her away in her bedroom since she's been seven years old. They discovered she has special and unusual abilities. A power like no other. With her eighteenth birthday arriving, something doesn't feel the same.

"So you think I have the power of the Earth Element?" I ask her. "We don't think. . . We believe." She smiles and gently caresses my cheek. "But Evy, you are different, You not only possess the power of the Earth but all of them, all the seven. You are a Naturalistic." ******************** In this Empire of Elements, everyone possesses the power of a particular element, but they say I have the power of all seven Elements of Nature, that I am the Daughter of The Seven Gods. Now I have to dig into this mysterious world to find the answers. To save something, someone. To prove myself. But even now two questions spin inside my head. What are those powers for? And . . . Why me? I have to solve this mystery. I have to solve. . . Me. Word count- [50,000 to 60,000] All rights reserved ©
