Dragons are sparse entities scattered all around the world with a counterpart. That counterpart is known as a dragon master or the dragon's mate. At a young age, the master attains the power of their dragon and needs to be sent to a temple to train.
One day a young clan prince was meant to train as a dragon master, but on his way to the temple with his mother their carriage was ambushed. The boy's mother was murdered. And he got away with a major case of amnesia.
Or a spicy fantasy dragon AU I couldn't get out of my head and needed to write.
