At twenty-five, Adora Everly still questions the circumstances surrounding her parents' murders. Based on her dying mother's final words, Adora believes the Foxworths--the Hamptons' most mysterious family--are persons of interest. When chance leads her to be a guest at Foxworth Manor, she begins her investigation, mingling with wealthy elites in hopes of coaxing information.

Determined to discover the truth, Adora starts to play a crafty game, unaware that she is already a pawn in a supernatural ploy that outweighs her wits. Adora's life is in danger. Yet who, besides herself, can she trust? It's a prestige world where nothing is as it seems, where secrets and deception are abundant, and falling in love can lead to being betrayed.

To survive and prevent the threat of an insidious evil, Adora must discover the connection between herself, her dead parents, and the Foxworths.
