"Why don't you just go home then, Echo!" Evan shouted. Tears were falling from his eyes. I wiped them away, and looked into his eyes.
"Because you showed me something, Evan. You showed me love. I can't go back somewhere that I can't call home. This is my home. Home is with you, Discordia, and Angelica. I'm going to complain, and one day I'm going to realize that I would rather starve and love you then be with my parents and feel the hatred I have felt all my life. All I ask is for you to feel the same, okay?" I whispered into his ear. He pushed my hair back.
"Okay," he smiled. Tears were still falling from his face.

Echo Davis grew up neglected and abused by her parents. School was a different story until her senior year, where she broke up with her boyfriend, Archer Knight. After that, she got bullied at school. Her only friend was Phoenix Ankaa, who was the son of her mythology teacher, Mr. Ankaa.
After one really rough night at home, Echo decided to runaway. She only brings food, water, clothes, blankets, and $200 cash. As she leaves the city, she bumps into Evan Montgomery. Evan has been on the run for almost his entire life, and he easily, yet oddly, accepts Echo's plea of allowing her to join him. Together they go through twists and turns of the outside world. They discover love, friendship, hate, and more. In the end, it is what they have left that matters.
