Milo Murphy, an overly optimistic middle-school student who lives his eventful life with Extreme Hereditary Murphy's Law condition, always has his two best friends, Melissa Chase and Zack Underwood, to join him on the adventures and mishaps of his everyday life. With all of the markings of the work of fate, he gets to know a girl who, in contrast to himself, doesn't have the friendships necessary to enjoy what life has to throw at her. After he extends an accepting hand, however, he learns that she is plagued by a variety of health problems; these health problems, combined with the effects of Murphy's Law, may put her in even more danger than Milo himself. As their relationship blossoms, everyone involved must take the time to ask themselves if the risk is too great.
