Life as a child was amazing. Your weight didn't matter. Your clothes didn't matter. Your parents money didn't matter. All that mattered was who you were going to play with, but that's all gone now. My sister hates me, my mom has no time for me, and my dad, well he left me. My life has been one whirlwind after another. Except I'm content with it, till it all comes crashing down. Every television, billboard, and magazine is covered with models. Models that are supposed to be role models, for us. Perfect face, perfect body, perfect life. I have none of those things. All my life I've never cared that I was over weight, and didn't wear makeup. Who knew a boy could change all of that? My overprotective brothers
Chloe Clarkson is 15 years old and lives with her 10 older, overprotective, defensive, annoying brothers who will stop at nothing to keep her safe. When Chloe was six her mother and her father took Chloe to her dance competition but on their way home they got into an accident sadly her parents died leaving the oldest brother, Tom in charge. Since then Chloe has dealt with many mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder. Chloe's anxiety is so bad she has a stutter when she is away from home, isn't with her brothers and when she isn't with her friends. She has an anxiety attack almost everyday. One day her and her brother fight leading to her family falling into a ditch. Finally Chloe is fed up of her family fighting and forgives. Everything comes out but when her brothers react speechless to a sad memory Chloe tell she takes it as a sign in a bad way. Chloe takes a step into water. Her brothers have to say a goodbye? They don't know is she'll wake up. Chloe is in hospital lifeless and her family and friends surround her.. Will she wake up or will she take a trip to her parents? A new guy in class? The bad boy starts getting me involved? A new group of friends? What happens when things start to turn over for Chloe? She becomes more confident and gains more trust. But as the same time she cracks. It's a bumpy ride but she has plenty of help along the way- lets just hope her brothers don't interfere to much on the ride. Warning may be triggering involves; eating disorders, self harm, anxiety, bullying, violence and bad language. I do not influence these in any way and self harm is not the answer. JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS: this book was not made to glorify self harm and suicide. i wrote this book my sophomore year of high school and based it off of what was happening in my life at the time. self harm is not "quirky" or "fun" and it is a serious issue and can lead to death. the glorification of it on this app and others such as tiktok and tumblr make it so that people who are actually struggling are seen as "attention seekers." non suicidal self injury (NSSI) is a real problem. this book was written from own experiences and not from a person who has no idea what the hell they're talking about. if you are having suicidal thoughts or struggling with self harm, please don't hesitate to reach out to the suicide prevention hotline. even if you don't feel like you can talk on the phone, please text them. they are there to help and i don't want anyone else to go on the same path i was on. --- i'm fin e is the biggest lie i tell myself i'm fine is the biggest lie i tell everyone else because i'm not fine and nobody can see it ---- She woke up wishing she didn't. She's given up because surely others have, too. She was the mistake they took in. ---- Ahsoka Tano has only known one things since becoming Anakin Skywalker's Padawan: failure. Her master claims he would never trade her for anything, but she can only think of his pity and her own self-let down. Now struggling with her own mental struggles, Ahsoka wonders if anybody is still here for her; if anybody has noticed she's started to drown slowly and painfully from her own self-hatred.
