Soulmates, we're always told we have one but I haven't been so sure I do. I mean I did get my tattoo and it hasn't disappeared yet, meaning they aren't dead. I guess believing in something like that takes a lot of effort. When you first touch your soulmate (Skin to skin contact) your tattoo turns a solid color. That color is the most important color in your life at the moment you touched. In this world, there's a system to tell who your soulmate is. Nobody remembers how it happened but, one day people started getting these tattoos on their right wrist. These tattoos are a basic shape that resembles your soulmate's hair. The shape is filled in completely by the color of your soulmate's hair as well. In the center of the tattoo, there are 1-5 objects. Those objects describe what your soulmate loves to do. The shape of my tattoo always fascinated me but I've never been able to put it into words. My tattoo shape is an upside-down half-circle if instead of the bottom part being flat, it opens and curves outwards. In the center of my tattoo was a volleyball, it always was a volleyball, it's never changed once. You see naturally, people tend to change hobbies, but whoever my soulmate was, they didn't change theirs, I never changed mine either which is fascinating. The color of my tattoo is a chocolaty brown. (This story is in Y/n's POV....mainly)

To put it simply, this story is about two soulmates, a strange companion and narrator, and the adventure of a lifetime. . . . You're still curious, aren't you? Very well, I'll describe this story out in a bit more detail to you. Karl is running away. Why? Well, he has a soulmate, and he's not too happy about it. He's seen the things love can do, and he isn't keen on having it for himself. His necklace had been dormant for 2 years and he'd thought that maybe his soulmate lived across the continent and he'd never have to worry about seeing them, but now the lightning was glowing, signalling that they were probably also in the Capital. It's a risk leaving the only thing he's known his entire life, the safety of the castle, but he has to get away from his soulmate. So, now he's walking away from the Capital, about to go on a wild adventure. Sapnap, on the other hand, has been looking forward to meeting his soulmate for his entire life. When he wakes up the day after his 18th birthday to a gradually dimming necklace, he takes executive action and decides to follow his soulmate. The guy isn't much of a survivalist, but luckily he has a friend in the shape of an almost-god to help him along the way. Is that enough detail for you? Luna's life isn't exactly 'normal' her parents are people you would call sorcerers. They don't belong in the normal human world but the world they once lived has been taken over by the Darkness and is unsafe for young children. When Luna turns 16 she is to cross to this world to not return until she decides to have kids of her own. As at 16 her abilities start showing which is also too dangerous because Luna herself isn't what her parents expected her to be.
