This is collection of poems I've worked on over the years. They tell my messy story- everything form first love to anorexia. I never thought anyone would read them so they are completely honest. Here goes.

Letters

Daiha Smith has everything, or, so it seems. Her dad received a promotion, and with that promotion, her family seemed to gain everything. But Daiha lost a lot in the process. Her parents are never home anymore, her sister cares more about her friends than her family, and Daiha has yet to escape the cruel remarks, evil stares, and just the mean girls at school. It seems to her that nobody cares about her anymore... Will somebody notice the self harm, the anorexia, before its too late? WARNING: triggers throughout the novel Please read with a grain of salt. Poetry. From the broken soul.
Poetry written over a time span of over ten years. This includes some of my darkest and lightest moments and the stories of others. Most deal with topics such as suicide, depression, family, eating disorders, religion, self harm, acceptance, recovery, and others. I also have included some of my favorite school poetry assignments. She's never had problems, until recently. Recently, her world has been falling apart, but from the inside out. Turned into a depressed girl with serious eating disorder problems, all she wants to do is let go of everything, and be thin. Lighter than air and be the skinniest of all. Slowly, she's drifting away from the real world into a world of her own, and pieces of her every day disappear and then she realises, but it's too late. Or is it? It's never too late to change... When you're stuck inside a layer of skin you never asked for, what does the soul do? It cries out in poems and pictures, and words that have so much meaning to anyone if they look hard enough. My eating disorder, my depression, anxiety, my thoughts, my words, my pain. Have you ever wondered what goes on inside of the mind of a truly broken soul? The mind of a person with severe mental disorders. The one who smiles on the outside but is really dying within. 4. Memories and Feelings That Still Haunt Me
I've cried too hard for too long as I debated death. Over and over, all I wanted was a quick overdose, a quick way to escape the pain. Until the guilt set it and made me realise, suicide feels too selfish. Instead I turned my sadness into art and my pain into strength. Desperately wanting to carve up my skin, I bled on a page. My screams are silent, hidden behind closed doors, And computer screens. All these horrible emotions kept secret in notebooks.
