It was easily the darkest night I'd ever seen... and the darkest man. His eyes flickered with an eerie red glow, and yet somehow I felt like I knew him from somewhere. "Sam." His low voice reverberated through the asphalt, and his whole body looked tense, as if he was about to pounce. I edged one step backwards, and gasped. Slowly, I glanced behind me, dreading somehow who I knew I would see there. "So you're the one who's wrecked my life." His voice traveled into the black as the asphalt came to marry my face and steal the grip of consciousness from me.

His image glitched and convulsed on the TV, which I assumed was some kind of special effect. "If you're not him, then...who are you?" "Me? Well.." he giggled. All the TVs went black.
