17-year old Kathy has been in a slump ever since the death of her mother. She barely goes out to enjoy her life instead choosing to stay at home, working hard to maintain good grades, and reading.

Bree is Kathy's 15-year old sister. Unlike Kathy, Bree chooses to enjoy popularity and all the perks that come along with being adored. One of those perks includes the constant invitations to the countless high school parties her friends throw.

The problem? In an attempt to bring Kathy out of her slump, their father has exploited the house rule that Bree can only go to parties if Kathy agrees to go as well. After Kathy's refusal to go to any parties that Bree is invited to, Bree makes a plan to bring her sister happiness so that she wont be turned down ever again.
