Sixteen years ago, a young singer used his celebrity influence to become president of the United States, ushering in new era in which celebrities, not politicians, run the world. Now, Michael O'Rourke, an unpopular high school student whose ambition is matched only by her lack of singing ability, sets her sights on becoming the next big singer.
