"5 Year Old Gerard Way Presumed Dead After Over A Year Of Searching."
The news headline was one of many that showed that everyone in the town of Belleville had given hope on the boy who went missing in 1981. Gerard was only 4 at the time he captors took him. The search continued for 1 year and Gerard was never found.
Now 24 years later, Gerard is very much alive and living in New Jersey. He always thought he was adopted, having no idea he was kidnapped. After a traumatizing childhood due to his continuous night terrors, he begins to have reoccurring nightmares of a boy named 'Mikey' being in trouble. He decided to pursue these dreams and tries to help the unknown boy before time runs out.
24 year old Frank Iero was always one to mind his own business. His parents had taught him that being noisy got you nowhere in life. But after meeting Gerard Way, being noisy didn't seem like such a bad idea. That was until he got caught.

After the police call off the investigation Frank is no where to be seen. After weeks or even months of looking for him Gerard stops and realises he is never coming back. Will Gerard ever find Frank and live his happy ever after?... Or will they meet in the middle coincidentally?...Complete

Belleville's a usually quiet town, so quiet it's almost sketchy. Frank Iero has lived his eighteen years in the quiet and sketchy town of Belleville with nothing but stories to tell. Some of them so outrageous that they must be lies, right? Like the time Brendon Urie ignored Frank and Pete for six months to talk to Ryan Ross, right? Like the time when Pete Wentz was so hurt by the fact Brendon and Frank hung out without him that he made his way to Brendon's house, climbed a tree, fell off said tree and almost broke his arm, right? Or the time when Frank and Pete both accidentally unleashed a demon in the Iero household that created catastrophic consequences for all involved, right? Ah, nothing like a good old outrageous story. Frank is twenty eight: he's mentally stable for the most part, and well nobody has to know about pills he takes twice a day, do they? He's normal now, he's a person now, he's a fucking adult with an office job and he fucking hates it and that's fine, because he got out of the mental hospital three years ago, and these past three years of mundane nothingness have been the best three years of his life. Ten years ago, or so, Frank was in love with a boy called Gerard with fiery red hair and the personality of a switchblade knife, and ten years ago that boy called Gerard had killed himself. Frank still saw him though: hallucinations, as he knew them to be now, and it took him years in a hospital he never thought he'd get out of to convince himself of his newfound sanity, but he was okay now. Twenty eight year old Frank Iero had been officially 'okay' since he was twenty five. He hadn't seen Gerard again, and he didn't even think about the guy - he was just normal, and he was almost painfully content with being the secretary to someone with a five figure salary. But of course, on one fateful morning in December, that has to go and change, doesn't it? Gerard and Frank used to be best friends, so close that Frank would spend days with Gerard because of his home-life. Abusive parents weren't greatest but then something happened one day and the Iero's moved from New Jersey to Maine. Not seeing each other for years until Frank Iero is in the newspaper. When Frank graduated high school, two things were certain: he wanted to go to college to be a teacher and he was unwaveringly in love with Gerard. Gerard was 6 years younger but the pair grew up next door neighbors with a fairytale story of falling in love. The fairytale ended when Gerard decided the age gap was too much, leaving Frank and his broken bleeding heart in the dust. After finishing his teaching masters degree the spring before his 25th birthday, Frank finds himself moving home to care for his sick mother and taking a very uninspiring job as an English teacher at Belleville High School. It was a job he was certain would be boring until he learns quickly that Gerard is a senior at the same high school. Emotions flare and tensions rise as Frank realizes the feelings he thought were long and buried are still very much around.
