"There are two sides of the same coin."

In a dystopian society where people are discriminated by their social status, Adrastea Bones is merely a healer with a knack for inventing antidotes for fatal poisons.

When the leader of the rebellion, Rhydderch Thomas, finds out about Adrastea's skill, he persuades her to his cause, despite her originally wanting to stay out of the fray.

It doesn't help that Rhydderch is her soulmate due to the words on their skin. Never had she entertained the thought of finding hers, let alone the fact that he didn't seem to mind her being his that much.

Journey with Adrastea as she comes to see that it always isn't good and bad and that as ruthless and manipulative Rhydderch can be, perhaps, there was more to him than she originally thought.

"Just be careful of Rhydderch," he warned.

Adrastea looked up at that. "Why?" she paused warily, "Is there a reason why I should be wary of my own soulmate?"

He shook his head, "No, but Rhydderch is the type of person who had gone to hell and when he came back, he brought back a piece of it with him."

Rejected Love {COMPLETED} by Alice_Blonday

My mate. So weak. So pathetic. I have a weak and pathetic mate. I thought as I looked at her in disgust and displeasure. Just like me when I was human. She is human! I don't want a mate. I don't want a weak and pathetic mate! She can't fix me! She's nothing! Screw this! My thoughts were going berserk with the rushing flashes of my past. I tucked my hand through my hair roughly in an unsuccessful attempt to stop the replay of those horrible evocations. I laid her on the small grass patch at the side of the deserted road. She was half-conscious, so possibly she could hear me... "Hey!" I said, jerking her pale face gently. Blood was covering half of her face but she was still looking beautiful in the moonlight. The sparks weren't going unnoticed and I reminded myself that it was just the mate-bond. I was determined in my decision and there was no way I was going to change it. The girl opened her eyes slightly and with that, I did what I thought was right at that time. "I, Kane Wilson, reject you as my mate!" I said, with all the strength I could have mustered in my miserable state of emotions and with that, I left her there, feeling extreme pain in my heart. But I pushed that pain aside and ran from there in my ultimate inhuman speed. Away from her! Still feeling the Rejection Pain. *~*~*~*~*~*~* He rejected her when she didn't even know what he meant for her. I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect. The cells... That was what they called it; where ever I was. I had tried to ask them so many times, but I couldn't speak. I could hear them, or at least most what they said. A lot of the time I'd only hear small snippets of conversations, as if I was dreaming. Sometimes I thought I was dreaming, but I'd come to the conclusion that couldn't be it: You didn't feel pain in dreams, right? ____________________________________ Amelia gets 'sold' to a vampire. Hes nice, despite what people say about him. Problem is, Amelia is sassy, and hates the fact he 'bought her'. Blake doesn't like that fact either. He's against having slaves, but coming from such a powerful family, he's forced to get one. He treats her right, as much as he can. Unless his family come over, of course! And as cliche as it is, everything falls into place: they put up with each other, she acts how she should in front of his family, and in return he lets her get away with things she shouldn't. And then there's a bump in the road. Everything goes flying. What goes up must come down, but will it fall in the right place?
