Delilah--or Lila to friends and family--Pierce is a somewhat normal 17 year old, with a normal house and normal parents and friends, but deep down, she is not mentally stable. She wants to believe she's healed herself by not acknowledging her pain, but there are rare moments when her anxiety and depression haunt her so much that she shuts herself away from everything and everyone. Out of the blue, a boy named Jared with a past of his own comes along and ruins Lila's plans to hide out by....not caring. Soon, Lila comes to realize that maybe instead of shutting out she could crack a door open and invite someone in.
