Hayley and Lhiya Camelle's parents are scientists. When their not working in the city, they have a small "Lab" in their basement that they bring home samples, and sometimes patients into to study. Of course, needing a lot of space and nothing to interfere with the samples, the house is always extremely clean.
So when the girls arrive home from school one day to find the front door wide open, the house trashed, and their parents car gone, they are immediately unnerved.
The two find a note in the kitchen explaining that Hayley and Lhiya's parents had an emergency and had to get to the city lab fast.
And that was it. There was no explanation for the mess and what looked like evidence of a struggle.
But when their parents don't return in hours, Hayley and Lhiya decide to drive two towns over to the city, worrying about them.
But they don't make it all the way to the city, because halfway there, because on a country highway, they spot their parents BMW, in a ditch. Fearing the worst, the girls rush to the car, and their fears are confirmed. Their parents lie lifeless in the car, and several papers in a folder have been strewn and torn up. Knowing their parents took a patient with them, the girls are extremely fearful when they see the patient is not in the car anymore-or anywhere.
The girls decide to take the papers and then call the police. Wanting to know what their parents thought was that urgent was something they thought they deserved to know.
With nothing to do but return home, they piece together the information.
But what they uncover is something bigger than they could of imagined.
Something that- if left un noticed could have gotten many people killed.

He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language. So if I mess up somewhere, let me know!
A New Found Humanity (RE: 3 Remake Book) (COMPLETED)
If you couldn't tell already, this is a story about Resident Evil 3. I'm taking everything only from the remake of 2020. I thought of this idea when watching Jacksepticeye's playthrough, so I'll be taking from his gameplay and spinning the story on its head. I do recommend watching or playing the game for yourself before reading this. It'll really make sense if you do. Just a fair warning, this will have graphic content and violent words. So, instead of becoming famous, Mitchell became a high school teacher and assistant department chair to Harry Kristiansen, the science department chair, at a boarding school for overly privileged kids. Jobs given to them seemingly out of nowhere. Things seem normal, the day-to-day boring with students coming in and out of the classrooms. But their blackmailer is interested in saving his lover, not normality. In order to save her, they need to find the very thing that has eluded medicine for close to 20 years, finding people with type-O blood to harvest. The very thing that should be easy, is proving difficult for Harry and Mitchell until the addition of a third partner. This partner seems to be a Godsend, able to find participants to appease their blackmailer, until he is no more. Fearful of their lives and for their families, the two men try to figure a way out.
