Meet Shirley Temple, named after the famous beverage for starters in cocktail bars across America. She is one among her lucky sisters to be named by her alcoholic mother, defined and defied by love. No wonder why her mother, a third-time victim of the so-called "six degrees of separation," had a take-away home with each of her husbands. Afraid of what the future holds for her, Shirley focused on forging a successful career in writing for a company. As she takes on a special assignment by her employer, she loses all the inspiration and drive to finish it all, and so she considers searching for a new one. She might end up like her mother, but hey, her mother took a chance, so why not? And there she finds out that sometimes in life, the best way to succeed in a relationship is to learn how to fail in love.
