"Please, leave me! Chhodo mujhe! What have I done? Leave me!" she begged, but he didn't let go of her hand. Instead, he tightened his grip. "Who are you? What do you want? Leave me, please! I need to go-he's waiting for me," she cried, her voice trembling. His anger flared, and with a sudden, violent motion, he shoved her against the nearby wall, trapping her. "You belong to me. Only me. Do you understand?" he growled, his teeth clenched. He didn't know why it bothered him so much to see her think of another man, especially since he didn't care about her-he was just fulfilling a promise he had never made. "Now, be a good girl and get ready. You wouldn't want to keep the Imam waiting. And if you're not out in the next fifteen minutes, don't blame me for the consequences. Am I clear?" he ordered, his voice cold. She nodded, tears streaming down her face, and with that, he turned and walked away, leaving her crying in the silence. Wearing that bridal dress again is a disaster for her because of the crippling guilt. He asks her to wear her nikkah dress if she wishes to meet her parents. Perhaps he is looking out to make a point to them that now she was his. He enters the room and finds her standing near the window, Cladded in her bridal dress which was enough as a mark to tell everyone that she is his. She turns around. For the first time today, he doesn't find the hatred seeping into his eyes for her. Instead, her shining green orbs seems hurt. "Why did you make me wear this dress again?" She inquires. He shrugs his shoulders confidently. "To make a point in front of your family that you are mine and no one, including them, is allowed to mess up with what's mine." "What am I supposed to do then?" "You are now going to stay at your parents's place till I get my own family to accept our nikkah, which they will do eventually. Then they will come to your house, meet your parents and we'll get married in a proper ceremony. You got a promise from me to get the status, respect, and honor of my wife from everyone, and you'll ultimately get that," he informs her truthfully. "What will you tell my parents about all this? And what am I supposed to inform them? And..." She trails off when something hit her mind. She quickly looks back at him. "Don't tell me that you will put the total blame on me. That...that I fled from my house to marry you." "I am not a coward who would ask a woman to leave whatever she had behind to marry me. I loved you openly. I married you openly too. And I'll make you get the status of my wife openly and fearlessly too. I ain't a scared loser who would hide myself behind a woman. I'll tell everyone the truth," he almost roars. She doesn't know why she liked whatever he spoke even though it is wrong on so many levels. Start Date: 06.06.2024 End Date: 23.11.2024
