"Please, leave me! Chhodo mujhe! What have I done? Leave me!" she begged, but he didn't let go of her hand. Instead, he tightened his grip.
"Who are you? What do you want? Leave me, please! I need to go-he's waiting for me," she cried, her voice trembling.
His anger flared, and with a sudden, violent motion, he shoved her against the nearby wall, trapping her.
"You belong to me. Only me. Do you understand?" he growled, his teeth clenched. He didn't know why it bothered him so much to see her think of another man, especially since he didn't care about her-he was just fulfilling a promise he had never made.
"Now, be a good girl and get ready. You wouldn't want to keep the Imam waiting. And if you're not out in the next fifteen minutes, don't blame me for the consequences. Am I clear?" he ordered, his voice cold.
She nodded, tears streaming down her face, and with that, he turned and walked away, leaving her crying in the silence.
