of the color in that seemingly dark soul of yours
allow my soft lilac palette to color the sorrow you feel, using
my sickly sweet lips as if my favorite painting utensil
they speak with delicacy
and taste of whiskey
read the poems i've written just for you and maybe your soul shall feel less alone
knowing mine follows in the same rhythm moving with the same weight of unimaginable sorrow and displacement
read this knowing you are free of judgement and there is beauty in the pain you find lodged within you
i pray you'll feel whole once again
