When Sombra returns to the Crystal Empire to seek revenge, he finds that Shining Armor and Cadence have had a baby foal. After a disagreement with Shining Armor, Sombra proposes a deal to the Prince and Princess: they can either give him the Empire or their daughter's hoof in marriage. The Royals object to both options. So Sombra gives them until the child is of marriageable age.

A few years later the baby, whom they named Flurry Heart, is all grown up and seeking a husband. Sombra comes back to the Empire and proposes his deal again, this time to the young Princess.
