It was not Nick Fury's designated recovery team that discovered Steve Rogers inundated by ice, nor were they the ones who had unthawed his frozen, preserved body. That accomplishment belonged solely to River, River Carmen, the unsung heroine of Steve Roger's return from his profoundly proclaimed death.

She shielded him in her home with her intransigent fierceness, sheltered his tormented heart with her boundless kindness and captivated him with her vibrant intellectualism. And yet, during one storm wrenched night where she suddenly disappears, Steve immediately finds himself forgetting she ever existed and instead, is left helplessly wondering who's house he was residing in.

Upon finally discovering Steve, Nick Fury is left with an abundance of unanswered questions about Steve's rescuer who not even Steve seems to recall or believe exists- even though acknowledging the small void of a person in his being. But with unwanted truths and corrupt lies lapsing into light, it's more predominant than ever before that Steve remembers River and how she disappeared, or else, well- no one wanted to even consider that.
