Along with millions of people I deal with my mental illnesses on a daily basis. 
 One of my favorite coping methods is writing, most often poetry. 
I'll write what comes to mind. when my attack is over, even if it's a couple days, I tend to go back and write something hopeful at the end. Every so often I'll read back and find light in my own little notes.
