Broken Past [Avengers/Captain America Fanfic] Kate Winters is a 23 year old girl who's best friends with Steve Rogers & James Barnes a.k.a Bucky. They've been best friends since they were 10. They grew up with each other and are now living in the same apartment. Kate & Steve both always wanted to join the army, but unlike Bucky, they've not been chosen. Soon the three best friends are accepted in the army. Steve becomes the Super Soldier (like the movies), Kate becomes close to Peggy Carter, Bucky dies (*cries*). Kate always had feelings for Steve, and Steve had feelings for Kate too, but when Steve meets Peggy, things might change - or they may not.. This story takes place on how they met each other. The beginning parts are made by me, the middle parts are from the movie, and the last part is also by me. I do not own any characters or movie scenes, I only own Kate Winters and other minor characters, most main characters and others belong to Marvel and Stan Lee.

Six months after inheriting the responsibility of Captain America from Steve Rogers, Sam Wilson decides to decline the shield and places it in the Smithsonian museum to join the dedicated Captain America display. While in the early stages of investigating a new wave of freedom fighters, the Flag Smashers, it seems the title of Captain America, along with the vibranium shield has been bestowed to John Walker, a highly decorated soldier for the US Army, by the Government. This news is enough to bring Bucky Barnes out of his apartment and do more than just attend his mandated therapy sessions, leading to Sam and Bucky joining forces. On this particular encounter with the Flag Smashers, John Walker and his partner Lemar Hoskins attempt to assist Sam and Bucky. All four of them find themselves in a quaint English village where an unknown person joins the conversation. ----------- I, of course, do not claim to own the Marvel characters. This fiction takes place instead of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series 1 [if you haven't watched it - I highly recommend, although if you're here I'm assuming that means you have already watched it]. I may not do the original story line justice, but I'm really only writing this to develop my own character and using it as an exercise to process bereavement. The plan is to write this book, then a second one and then create an alternative novel which would combine book 1 and 2. - I better not see any of this on Tik Tok or similar -

Ever since she was little, Kate Carson's favorite thing to do was learn. A few years of homeschooling later, my dad decided public school would be more beneficial for my childhood development. I'm obviously not good with new people, so this idea didn't thrill me. I somehow ended up making friends though. Things started to get weird after I woke up in hospital, people started looking at me weirdly and my dad felt distant. I start getting close with Peter, but I over hear something strange in the Avengers compound about myself, so I end up going to Peter's, trying to escape from the truth of happened many years ago. Will I run away with Peter and will everything go to plan? Or will the truth come out, leading to a relationship I'd never expected to happen?
