As the clock ticked towards two forty-two in the morning, all stood still in the suburbs of Sydney. Ruby Lester felt her heart rate quicken as she stood by her windowsill, and she waited in horror and confusion until the feeling stopped.
As the clock ticked towards two forty-two in the morning, all stood still in a quiet street of Hosford. Calum Hood tried to sleep but was woken by something cold and metallic on his skin. He waited in horror and confusion until he died.
When Calum wakes up, how is it that he's 400kms away from his home town, and has no idea that he got there? How is it, that all these new phrases like 'The Wonderers' and 'The Counsel' mean nothing, yet everything to him?
Will he be able to save Ruby before she starts to realize that somethings wrong? Or will she have to save Calum before he realizes that the thing hunting Ruby, is also hunting him?
