Mason lived in a small apartment with his ill mother, playing music in the subway to scrape in some money for his mother's treatment. He's sold everything besides a few pairs of clothes and his beloved guitar. When he played the guitar, it was like magic. Anybody who heard him stopped and listened, completely entranced. Until one day, a beautiful girl struts past him without even glancing his way. Olivia was a loner. She decided it would be easier to keep to herself than trying to fit in at her high school. She was the type to read books on weekends instead of going to parties. Even if she wanted to fit in, she didn't have a set category someone could fit her in. She wasn't a nerd because she scraped by in all her classes and she wasn't a jock because she couldn't throw a ball to save her life. Knowing this, she decided that she would be her own best friend. But all of this changed when she caught the eye of Mason Young, the golden boy.

"You can't have everything." "Why can't I?" He shouted. I stretched my hand, giving him the jacket. "Because that's not how it works." Assuming he was reaching for the jacket, I moved closer but instead he pulled me by the arms and secured his hand around my waist. "Then how can he have everything he wants?" Seth said, his voice was a whisper in my ear, his face beside mine, his jaw grazing my cheek. I flinched away. **** Alyssa Lucille is rich and young, she's sixteen. That's it. The good part is over. She looks pretty average, she overthinks everything, she likes creating alternate realities. When summer arrives, she wants to have a good time but things get out of control relatively quickly as she's forced to invite Seth Harrison back into her life, the guy she might as well hate. Seth Harrison works to earn a living. He's eighteen and steps into Alyssa's life, trying to earn back her trust again. He doesn't smile when he finds out she's the girl his bestfriend's dating. **** Is this the cliche book where the bad boy and the good girl don't like each other and then suddenly realize they're in love? No. I'm just an author changing the steriotypical plot and giving you guys something different. Something I would love to read atleast :) **** 1st place in Excellence Awards (2021 romance) If you're reading this, I urge you to continue!!
