Tessa Summers world is about to be turned upside down. 
It is Christmas Eve when her town is attacked by an evil sorcerer by the name of Zembyr. He and his army of monstrous creatures are on a mission to take over the world and her town is their first stop. She and a few other healthy people are taken and kept alive for target practice.  

Except then Zembyr overlooks something.
