Melody Killington - smart , beautiful , exotic , funny , wild , talks back to teachers , not scared of anyone , sweet , talented, LEARNING DISABLED .
There are many layers when it comes to melody; she is a c student even though she could be an A student if she actually tried. People like her for her melodic voice and crazy sense of humour. She doesn't know what to do when it comes to people and love. she is in love with this guy , but she can't tell him , she can't let him know , she can't let him reject her again . She doesn't know what to do, when the 4th grader she is mentoring goes up to him and tells him how much she like him. When she was little her parents got divorced and on her tenth year of life, her dad leaves for a different country and never comes back. she misses him and talks to him on the phone once or twice a month and her mom is literally wrinkling up from the stress of being a single mother who has to go back to school , without being able to read or write English and becomes a lawyer , and a good one at that. But the hardest thing she has to deal with is her backstabbing best friends.
Mercedes - new at her school and moved because she was bullied at her old school , bossy , control freak , more popular than melody herself , she lies about everything and is jealous that the guy melody likes may like her back . Melody and Mercedes have been friends for 4 years and are like sisters ... when they aren't competing with each other.
Celine / CeCe - copies anything melody or Mercedes has to say, you can never trust her opinion, but you can trust her for a helping hand. Has a British accent that makes it weird when she swears.
