Taleah Elwood was raised by her older brother Josef after her parents were killed by the wizard, Thorncrow because they had the ability to destroy him. Josef sets out, determined to discover the truth about of the death of their parents outside of their village of Greenlake but never returns. Taleah then attempts to follow her brother's paths to discover the reason for his disappearance and finds out more than she had bargained for from an old man living in the wilds and a prophesy tree in the woods. Taleah journeys to a village much like her own makes friends and becomes settled but her mind is still clouded with a fierce determination to avenge her brother and her actions leave behind much unintentional death and destruction.
