He says not even trying to hold back his laugh. When Alex, accidentally, lets it slip that he was 'dating' Devin, he came to her in a panic, hoping that she'd agree to his plan of pretending to date. Mainly so Scott doesn't set him up on another terrible date, or hold it over Alex's head for the rest of his life. Regretfully agreeing is exactly what it ends up being. A regret.
