You can always feel the gaze of someone following you. You can feel them watching your every move. Waiting for the right time. For the perfect moment to make his move.

I speeded up my paste knowing that they where hot on my tail. Knowing that they could catch up to me at any moment.
I hadn't been the exact good girl but i didn't have many enemies since no one knew who i was. I took a glimpse back but saw only the darkness. I speeded up my paste but took silent steps. I heard the footsteps following behind. They took firm and calculated steps. As if they had already planned this for so long. My house seemed so far yet so close. The lights of my home where able to be seen from where i was but i wasn't sure if i could reach them.

A block away from home.

A block away.

A block away.

That block away. That block away was the one i never got to walk.

I felt strong arms wrap around me. I knew it was more than one man since i was caged between them. I didn't even have anytime to react when i felt a liquid substance being placed in my neck. Another strong arms rapped behind me. They lifted me up bridal style. I wasn't gonna go down with a fight. I forced my vision i barely could make out his facial features. I reach out to place my hand on his cheek his body first tensed but the relaxed a second later. I dug my nail hard into his cheek and down his throat. A wet substance hit the tips of my nail i knew i had left a scar. He hissed and tightened his hold on me. His finger nails digging into my side. It was gonna leave a mark for sure. I tried to make another move or a fight but i was getting weaker. The darkness around me started to consume me in it. Soon everything was dark and my body gave up.

Ave The first lesson my father taught me was simple: Survival isn't a matter of luck. It's a matter of will. I was fourteen when I understood what that meant. I watched him shoot a man in the chest across our dining table, the porcelain plates still warm with dinner. Blood sprayed across the white tablecloth, bright as roses. My father didn't flinch. He wiped his hands clean and finished his glass of wine. Afterward, he made me sit across from the body. He told me to look into the dead man's eyes and memorize the emptiness. "Someday," he said, "someone will put you on your knees. When that happens, you have a choice: break or become something they can't crush." I thought I understood him. I didn't. Not until the night everything was taken. I remember the gunshots-three sharp cracks that split the dark. The shouting. The smell of smoke and burning skin. I remember my father dragging me into his office, shoving something cold and metallic into my hand. "Keep it safe," he rasped, voice raw with pain. "Don't let them have it. No matter what they do." I opened my fingers and looked down. A USB drive. Nothing but plastic and data. A fortune in information. Enough to buy enemies or bury them. He pressed his bloody palm to my cheek, eyes wild. And then he left me there, locked behind the steel door while the rest of the house burned. I waited in the dark, clutching that drive. I counted every scream. Every shot. When the door finally opened, it wasn't my father standing there. It was a man I didn't know, dressed in black, his gun still smoking. He looked at me the way you look at something half broken-curious whether it's worth finishing off. He didn't pull the trigger. Later, I wished he had. Because surviving was worse. Because surviving meant becoming everything my father promised: something that could never be crushed. Years later, they still call me ruthless. A liar. A thief. They don't understand. I am nothing more than what the world made me.

SORRY IF THE FIRST FEW CHAPTERS ARE BAD. BUT I PROMISE IT WILL GET BETTER SO PLEASE DONT JUDGE IT YET UNTIL YOU READ IT. I was sitting in the room I've been staying in when Enzo came in. He jumped on my bed and looked at me. "You did something last night and I can't get it out of my head." I looked at him heat rising on my cheeks. The only thing I can think of is oh god please tell me I didn't do anything stupid. He moved closer to me, so our lips are inches apart. "And I want to do it again" before I could say anything he places his lips on mine. It took me a second to realise before I kissed him back placing my hands on his neck bringing him closer. He moved himself so he was in between my legs his cock sitting on my pussy. He started to slowly grind on me. I moaned out throwing my head back as he moved faster while he kissed and sucked on my neck. "Uh fuck I'm close." A few seconds I came. I opened my eyes and saw Enzo smirking at me. "Fuck that was hot." I blushed and hid my face in his chest. He chuckled and flipped us over so he's laying down and I'm on top of him. I placed my face in his neck and wrapped my arms around him. She was lost and so was he. Who knew that two broken hearts can connect to one. Arabella's world has been rigged since the day she was born. Her fate had been decided for her much longer before she even had been conceived in the womb. So it came as no surprise when she found herself back at the beginning. As if the pain she has previously experienced wasn't enough, she now needs to relearn how to balance her life. She can't help but pray to the universe for a break. She was exhausted from fighting for all she had and watching her life fall apart just as quickly as it had come back together. Dominic's life was something he would forever be grateful for since he knew that he never had it as rough as others. But there were always going to be times that he wanted to give up. With the responsibility of leading an entire mafia and his own past commitment issues, he believes the barrier to letting go is far greater than what others tell him. And when new desires emerge, he notes how his heart skips a beat whenever he sees her. His instinct kicks in, and he raises his barriers twice as high as she lowers hers to make place for him. All I was guilty of, was showing them mercy when no one else would. ~~~ "I saw you, Dominic. I wish you saw me." "I see you." I freeze at his words, my back facing him. "I can only see you. Everything I look at, everything I touch, everything I smell always leads back to you. I spent most of my life thinking that my heart was my biggest weakness. I always imagined that it would be my downfall. I had a loving family and that was enough for me. Getting a girlfriend, getting married, having a family, none of that mattered to me. Before you." He pauses, taking a breath and my eyes water. "I kept any other part of my heart guarded and almost locked. It was as if I didn't have one at all. Even now, its still fucked up. The lock I've kept is warned out though the only person who has its key is you. It's yours."

She hated them. They loved her with everything in them. The universe truly has a sick way of telling you it's there, doesn't it? From being kidnapped to being abused, that was all Arabella saw in life. It was all she ever knew. They tell you to keep fighting but sometimes you realize... you were just a child. Now she's built herself up using her pain as the next step to her strength. She's learnt how to strive forward even as her past haunts her mind crawling up her back every passing second. That is until the first 7 people who only ever brought her pain find their way back into her life. She has no way to let go of her past when they come right back to her. The world showed her no mercy in it's ways so why should she. ~~~ I let out a small sigh wanting more of this. I wanted to be held like this whenever I felt broken. Feel the way he puts me back together in his arms. It ate at my heart and I could have sworn I felt a feathery kiss on my head. It was as if he could hear my thoughts and was kissing them away for me. Slowly he lets one hand go, the other staying around me as he brings my chin up to him gently wiping my last tears as more fill my eyes. He sees this and his eyes look... crumbled. If you feel this way then why can't you choose me, Dominic. I shake my head from his hands wishing to step back but he pulls me back to him a pain filled groan leaving him. "Just one more minute. Please." His body shook and I brought him closer, feeling our pain become one. Our hurricanes of minds pull away even for the smallest time letting us stand together as one in each other's embrace. He was it for me. But I wasn't his.

College? No, this was paradise. Three years filled with partying, not so secret underground drug-deals, and hot-headed men sliding into beds like snakes with no self-control. Things were different now. I wasn't that perfect, frill-wearing angel Mama thought would walk into the house ring-beared. So many things had changed, except for one. Him. He was a disease, one I couldn't get rid of no matter how hard I tried. Everytime he's near, I feel myself turn into something I've never seen before. Like there's something under my skin only he is capable of bringing out. He's manipulative, twisted, and completely wrong in every way. I hate him. Yet every night, from miles away, I find him in my dreams. Mikhail Volkov Fuck the patriarchy. Better yet, fuck everything and everyone. It was a game of cat and mouse, me chasing victories every single day. The Bratva's constant want for war was what kept the fuel in my blood, burning up into flames whenever my knuckles made contact with another opponent. In the end, I'm always the one left standing. This fire in my bones, I feel it burst into flames while every dark memory, thought and desire runs into my fists. So many medals, but only the people around me could see them. The real battle was against my head. And maybe, just maybe, I was afraid to admit that I had no chance in winning it. She makes it harder. An angel with wings to everyone else, yet a master at unveiling those devil's horns only when I'm near. There's this darkness, this fire, in the both of us. The only difference is, she's better at hiding it. She was gone, far away, yet there was this tether dowsed in fuel connecting us, one that only lit up when she came back. Every time she's near, I feel the limits surrounding my wrath being tested. Then again, rules are only made to be broken, right? Mafia Dark Romance *Standalone*

They tell me love is a pretty lie. A cruel deception. I wouldn't know-I've never been given the chance to believe in it. Like he'll ruin me all over again. The worst part? I want him to. Enzo Mancini She was never supposed to know the truth of that night. The blood on my hands. The fact that I let her believe I was the monster. I told myself I could let her go. That I could watch her slip through my fingers, fall into the hands of men who never deserved her. And I did. She calls me heartless, and like everyone, I let her believe it. She doesn't know that every step she takes away from me is another step toward a man who won't live long enough to touch what's mine.
