Lyrica's world is quickly ending, being consumed by the ravaging flames of haunting memories and vengeful enemies. Her world has revolved around her family and proving her worth, but it's never enough. In an attempt to make her father notice her, she joins him on a trip where they are ambushed and Lyrica is taken captive.

This begins her battle against becoming a pawn; she refuses to play their game. She is through with being used and traded as property. But when she is given a chance to prove herself, her beliefs wage war with her goals. What was right is no longer white in a world of grey wrongs. How can she know which way to turn at a crossroads? Is it still in her best interest to stand independent and alone? Will her strength and determination withstand the onslaught of lies and loopholes?
