"Something was watching me. I shuddered as I swung my flashlight about, casting light on the dark trees looming around me. I sat down at the foot of one of the trees, and cast my light up into the bare branches. I set my green umbrella next to me. The air was cold, my breath rising in clouds. I flick the switch off on my flashlight, and am bathed in darkness. I breathe a sigh of relief. Suddenly I hear a rustle in the tree above me. I look up into the tree and see a flash of gold. I close my eyes, and listen to my breath, and a faint one that matches it."
Kira is a "normal" girl from a small town in the middle of nowhere. On a dare, she enters the woods not far from her house. The trip into the woods triggers some dark memories to resurface, and Kira learns that some horrors are best left to hide in the dark...
