Set in 1982 Boston, Val is a 18 year old girl who is charged with homicide. The only way to not get executed is to plead insanity. Not long after she gets thrown into Bexley's Home for the Mentally Ill, formerly known as Bexley's Lunatic Asylum.
There, she meets Alex and Lauren, the only sane people who truly believe that Val did not murder her mother and sister.
But is everyone as sane as they seem?
