The Door to Tomorrow
Chuck's studies in journalism lead to a dubious "opportunity" that he takes out of desperation. Once he and his colleagues arrive on the island of Soma, it's clear that something is off. The latter is confirmed once Chuck befriends a researcher who lives there. After a whirlwind string of hookups with this new friend, all hell breaks loose. Chuck is abducted, then held captive alongside five children. The group starts participating in a series of puzzle "scenarios", which results in Chuck winning an opportunity to speak face-to-face with the mastermind.
