Have you watched Endstone, a quite sad parody of Jaymes Young's song "Moondust"? Assuming you have, here's my own written Merome sequel.
Pretty much, Jerome was saved. Endstone was just a song Mitch wrote in space, because he missed his bacca. Tears are shed on live tv. It might as well have been the farthest long-distance relationship you've seen.

The Nether (Merome) *Short story*
In need of Quartz Bajancanadian (Mitch) and JeromeASF (Jerome) travel to the land of lava, better known as the nether. Well equipped and running on full stomachs the duo are prepared for anything... Or so they think. With a surprise attack from a ghast, it leaves Mitch dangling over a cliff. Forced to let go Mitch drops and even though he tries to assure Jerome he is unharmed Jerome ignores him and dumbly follows suit. Although this only results in an injured Jerome and an angered Mitch. So now with an injured member and no clear way back, they are forced to improvise. Can they find their way back to the surface or will they be forced to survive in the humid biome for weeks on end? ~~~~~~~ Note: This is an AU where Mitch and Jerome live irl, with all minecraft mechanics. Also this story IS Merome but not in any direct way. Winter Wasteland (The Pack)
Six. Six survivors of many. A terrible blizzard, accompanied by a siege of mobs has left a village of youtubers dead. All except for the pack. Preston, Rob, Vikk, Lachlan, Mitch, and Jerome are the only ones who have survived the slaughter. With all of their friends dead and not many supplies to run with the group must work together to survive a harsh winter environment. As far as the eye can see snow covers the land and with blizzards constantly battering the boys it's no surprise one night when a pack of wolves attack they are separated into three groups of two players each. To make matters worse there seems to be endless challenges around every corner, ranging from mobs to natural disasters. Can the six reunite and find signs of life or will they freeze/starve to death in this barren wasteland? ~~~~~~~ Note: This is an AU where they look like their minecraft skins but human form. Also they used to live in a village with many other youtubers. It is real life but includes minecraft mechanics. Also this story is Vikklan, Poofless, and Merome but not in any direct way... Jerome survives his suicide attempt. He's ashamed and upset, why would his best friend stop him from finally being happy? And above all, what made him this way? Jerome is scared to admit his obvious feelings, but he hints it just about every time he and Mitch speaks. Mitch is oblivious as ever, and Jerome is getting tired of it. Mitch walks into Jerome's bathroom to find his best friend on the floor, dying. Mitch can't quite understand why his best friend would do such a thing, and why he was so sad. Mitch will stop at nothing to find the bottom of the poor Bacca's problem and fix it for him, it's what Jerome deserves, right? Jerome refuses to bluntly say what got him in this knot of sadness and guilt because, what would happen to him if Mitch doesn't like what he hears?Tamamlanmış Hikaye

The City (Merome AU)
Mitch, more commonly known as Benja, has been wandering the wastelands all of his life. He prefers to work alone, away from all the people who could hold him back. People who could easily stab him in the back when he isn't looking. But, he has heard stories of a great city that stands in the center of the vast, cruel wasteland. The city is the beacon of hope within a sea of nothing. He has yet to find it. Jerome has never been outside of the city. For how large it is, he's been to all four corners and everywhere else between. He's memorized every street, it's name, where is located, and what buildings it has there. He's heard stories of great adventurers who went out into the wasteland to see if they could find something other than this. To find everyone a better life.
