United Terran in Luminarum
United Terran (UT), an international organization that has been instrumental in the unity of the people of the Earth in the 22nd century, has transferred to the Luminarum, a new world that resembles Earth. The natives of the New World have a vast range of civilizations from the Alternative version of the Roman Empire, Viking nations, Arabic Caliphate, Mongol Empire, Chinese Ming Empire, Japanese Shogunate, Spanish Empire, French Empire, British Empire, Third Reich, Soviet Union, and the United States of America. Unlike Earth, the planet boasts an unknown phenomenon to science: Magic. The native nations, which resemble the alternative civilizations in Earth's history, integrated their technology with magic to improve the quality of their technology. Hugo Van Dijks, the Secretary General of United Terran, is the most powerful leader on Earth to lead his people in the new world. He and the United Terran government, alongside International Consortium Companies, created a "Novus Ordo Project" for the prosperity of the people of United Terran and the natives in the world. Despite his best attempts at diplomacy and economic approach, the arrogance and hostility of the natives prove to be an unnavigable barrier. War is the only alternative. "si vis pacem, para bellum," "If you want peace, prepare for the war." What are the policies of the United Terran in the new world? The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Complete

"Daddy, please don't turn off the lights. The monsters will find me." Ana pleaded as she pulled the covers up to her nose. "Don't worry, Ana. There's no such thing as monsters." Frank answered before flexing dramatically, earning a giggle from her, "Besides, if they tried to hurt you, I'd just beat 'em up!" "Promise?" "Promise." He kissed her forehead before he tucked her in and turned off the light. "Goodnight, angel." --- The world changed overnight. A mysterious system appeared in everyone's minds announcing the detection of a "Breach." Monsters unlike anything humanity had ever seen before began to emerge, immediately ending one-third of the world's population. And that was just in the beginning. Every father wants to be their daughter's hero. It's an unspoken rule written into every man's DNA. But most fathers aren't pitted up against eight legged abominations. Frank was just an ordinary man; no training, no experience, just depression and a four year old. Yet, he was all that stood between Ana and certain death. If that's the way it was, then he couldn't back down. He made a promise, and he would keep it or die trying. Luckily, the world wasn't entirely merciless. This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature. While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power. Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

So what of it? I don't think it matters where I came from." Galactus replied. "It doesn't. You did what you had to do to survive. But the problem is you made a deal with the devil." John replied. Galactus looked at John with more stoic eyes now. He had done many things in the past and he made many bad decisions. He just wasn't sure what John was referring to so he was silent. John seeing that Galactus was silent and refused to speak said "Black Winter is coming!!" ------------- When a cinephile and an otaku/weeb travels through dimensions and gets a system which can only be described as overpowered but comes with restrictions. At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. Disclaimer : I am not an economist so I might have done some mistakes in the economics section of the story. If you have suggestions to make it better you can leave in the comments. Warning - The MC won't be OP from the start itself and will grow to a powerful character in due time.
