
Mo·not·o·ny /məˈnätnē/ noun lack of variety and interest; tedious repetition and routine. Roman and Rosa have grown tired of this damn place. They have grown tired of the beatings, the stabbing pain that hunger brings, and the sickness. They have grown tired of the agonizing monotony and the sense of impending dread that it provided.
