Lucy Heartifilia, a star student of Fairy Tail High, has always hated the Heartthrob of the school, Natsu Dragneel, because of his giant ego. One day, Natsu asks Lucy to help him with one of his classes and has her sign a contract to make sure that she does help him, taking along her most prized possession. As Lucy lives up to the contract, she later finds a different side of Natsu, a side where Lucy had never thought that the Egotastic Heartthrob could be. But as Lucy learns more about Natsu, someone tries to disrupt their developing relationship.
