The happening

A friend asked him how he could fall in love after just being separated from someone. He said he had no intention of it ever happening. He also said the reason they separated is because the Love was gone long ago. All that was left a good friendship. He sighed at saying the words and hearing the truth in his voice.
Now he was faced with something so pure. A connection that seemed completely organic and strong. A connection built on mutual respect and understanding. A connection built on being attracted to one's personality and being versus their physical attraction. The fact that the person is beautiful was an afterthought compared to who he really loved. He loved the person. He saw her beauty ran to her core. He felt her passion was interwoven with his even before they had even touched one and other.
His friend nodded and said that it seemed amazing. He just hope he wasn't rushing things.
He told his friend that he was aware of his situation and so was she. He had been fully honest with her which is so unbelievable. He had never felt like he had to hide anything. He never had to have walls. The walls that existed already, she simply walked right through them. He told his friend, she was the one he had always looked for, in a chance meeting. He knew that she would be the one he would see the rest of the world with.
His friend came over and set his hand on his shoulder. If that was how he felt, then he would support him in his decision.
He smiled at his friend, his heart was full and he gave him a hug for understanding and thanked him for being a good friend and asking the questions.
