    After the death of her mother, Elena is forced to live with her alcoholic stepdad, Mitchell. Over the years, she has developed a hostile persona, shutting out everyone from her life. Mitchell's abuse aids in this as well; Elena lives in a world of fear, hurt, and anger.

    There's another guy, Hunter Del Castillo, a mysterious  transfer who catches Elena's, and seemingly the female population's attention. Mysterious, handsome, and striking, it's no doubt he hides a secret, at least to Elena.
