Finley O'Riley is a 17 year old girl from Vancouver, Canada. She is confident, witty, sassy and full of life with a grandiose fashion flare. Finley's life drastically changes when she finds out about her parent's divorce. And to top it off, her mom is moving herself and Finley to California, where she has to start all over. At first, she hates it, it doesn't matter that the sun shines all the time, that she is spoiled with her dream cars and that she and her mother basically live in a mansion, all she wants, is to move back to Vancouver and be with her friends and her dad, who unlike her mother, actually pays attention to her. But things get a little more sticky and interesting once she gets involved with Emmet Costellio. The bad boy has a secret.

She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body.
