"The sunrise is so beautiful. It's like watching the whole world renew itself."
She felt everything.

"The sunrise? It's just another reminder that the cycle is beginning again."
 He felt nothing.

Their eyes met, realization settling in both of their minds. They shared the same story and yet their worlds were so different.

Aiden Enson knew hatred. He knew disappointment. He knew desire. He knew people. He didn't have any faith in humanity, and hope had vanished alongside his dreams. All he wanted was to shield himself from the misery of the world. He found that Kandice, the girl who felt too much, is going to make that hard for him.

Kandice knew that the world wasn't full of rainbows and sparkles. That didn't stop her from being this bubbly, giggly, awkward ray of sunshine. She knew that life didn't go on forever, and it pushed her to look past her fear. And although she knew heartache and sadness and anger and all of the flaws of the world, her optimism kept her afloat.

They say opposites attract, but what if their pasts are nearly the same?
