"Why won't you look at me?" He asked in a hushed whisper.

Annabel didn't reply him and remained strong.

Zachary lifted his shirt and pressed his boney abdomen to her fleshy one. "Do you feel that? It's nothing but bones and ribs." He jerked it to her abdomen for emphasis.

Annabel felt the familiar burning sensation in her chest but remained strong. He was trying to scare her into submission. She wouldn't give into him.

His breath lingered on her neck before returning to her face and then close to her left ear.

"This isn't over , Annabel."
