■THIS BOOK IS ONLY 4 CHAPTERS LONG■ Zack, his cousin Tommy and their best friend Patrick were as close as friends could possibly be. Patrick met Zack at Ballet and he met Tommy at running club when they were all 4. This lead to them growing up together. luckily they all lived right next to each other on a long empty road surrounded by fields and trees for miles. They played together every single day for as long as they could. They were inseparable, even at school, they would do absolutely everything they could together. But eventually, when they were only 14, Zack and Tommy left Patrick and moved to the city. Patrick got so depressed he missed months of school, and when he finally gets his life back on track a few years later, he notices strange things in the woods.

Amy has has the best life, she has good friends, a good parent, and the best boys chasing after her, but when a new guy, zack, comes and moves right across the street her whole life changes. if you want the first three chapters I will summarize them. chapter 1 Amy is getting ready for her date with a boy from the school that she has been wanting to ask in a long time. but he doesn't come and just disappears from the state. when she is waiting she see a moving van pull up and goes to see who's going to be her new neighbors. chapter 2 when Amy gets over to their yard she introduces herself and says that her mom is at work but will come over and meet them when she gets off work. when she gets home she tells her brother Sam about the girl that lives across the street, and he doesn't want to at first but then Amy tells him that she is his age and he jumps up and runs out of the house. then she goes upstairs to her room and calls her friends Lola and Lizzy to come over and they talk about Zack until Amy's mom comes home and she makes a welcoming dinner for them and they take it over to them that day. that's same day Amy starts getting to know Zack better. chapter 3 Zack wakes Amy up and starts talking to her about their date. it may seem like they are going on a date the day after they just met but Zack it persistent and wants to get to know her better, and he wants to get to know her fast. after Zack is done talking to her she tries to go back to sleep but she can't so she takes a shower. after her shower she gets out and finally looks in the mirror and sees her marks that are like fire but the color is black.
